Day 2 : Gordes - Gorges de la Nesque

Today's profile features a circuit around "Les Gorges de La Nesque" ( 18,6 Km at 2,3 %). Today will be the perfect balance between superb sceneries, quiet roads carved in the mountain and a great warm-up before The Giant of Provence.

Day 3 : Gordes – south Vaucluse villages

Day 4 : Gordes - Mazan via Fontaine de Vaucluse

A great scenic ride that will lead us to our “base for our last 2 nights : chateau de Mazan. We will pass thru Isle sur la Sorgue, famous for its antiques stores and waterwheels on the Sorgue river. One of today's’ highlights will be our lunch : a superb Provençal lunch, set along pristine water flowing from the nearby spring

Daily Mileage: 60,3 Km, Elev 719 m

Day 5 : Mazan -Mont Ventoux – Return via Sault

Today is “Le Jour J” (D-day): The Giant of Provence awaits you. Mont Ventoux is part of the Tour de France history. It witnessed fierce batlles, in between Eddy Merckx & Poulidor, tragedy with the death of Tom Simpson in 1967. More recently you may remember Froome running the last few meters after a crash with a motorbike (2016). in 2021, Mont Ventoux was climbed twice by the peloton, with Wout Van Aert claiming the victory. Once you’ve conquered the Giant of Provence (21 Km at 7,45 %) one feels a deep sense of self-achievement. During the 2 hours + of efforts, one may meditate, while others may simply think of the non-stop 20 km of downhill that follows. Your road captain tip : breathe well, relax and ensure that your Strava is on!

Daily Mileage: 97 Km, Elev 1,921 m

Day 6 : Mazan- Beaumes de Venise- Suzette

very early ride, to admire the sunrise over the "Provençale" countryside, this is also an opportunity to witness the nature waking up and at the same time rewind together the memories of the week, we will then head back to the hotel for an "Au Revoir" breakfast. vi
